Canon TS8322 is a good family printer. It prints good-looking, vibrant photos, and does it fast. Color cartridges can produce multiple pages before they need to be replaced; however, the black cartridge runs out quickly. That said, the overall cost per print is still great, which is great if you’re on a tight budget. Unfortunately, the scanner does not have an automatic document feeder, complicating lengthy document processing.

The Canon PIXMA TS8322 has a decent build and design. Feels solid and sturdy overall; however, the output tray and rear input tray feel a little thin. The printer must be on to replace the ink cartridges, and the display panel must be raised during a print job, to make room for the output tray. The power cord is detachable, making it easier to replace if damaged.

Unfortunately, the paper jam is not easy to reach, as it can be accessed from the back of the printer and requires lifting the rear input tray and removing the back panel. Also, the tray used for printing CDs and DVDs is too tight and difficult to move. On the plus side, the scanner lid can stay open without assistance, and the lid hinges can be extended slightly to fit thicker documents or books.

The Canon PIXMA TS8322’s cost-per-print is good. For black-only printing, the costs continue to increase, mainly due to the low cartridge yield. Color cartridges do not need to be replaced frequently, but they are more expensive, making color printing more expensive in the long run. If you purchase a printer directly from Canon, you are entitled to register for the ‘Auto Fill Service’, which is an ink subscription service. This can be done during the payment process.
